Arbor Knot

The straightforward Arbor Knot to attach your angling line to the spool of an angling reel – flying reels, turning reels or goad throwing reels:

- Wrap your line around the arbor of the spool with the label end of the line. At that point tie a basic overhand bunch around the standing part with the label end.

- Tie a moment overhand bunch in the label end only an inch or two from the principal overhand bunch.

- Pull the standing piece of the line to slide the main overhand bunch down to the spool and the second bunch to stick  against the first. Trim label end close.
